Tom is a French/British musician, songwriter and producer best known as the bassist in New Order. Tom was born and raised in France but moved to Manchester in1992 when he was 20 inspired by his love of The Smiths and Mancunian music. He became part of the Manchester music scene building up a reputation for his melodic and rhythmic approach to bass playing, working with artists such as Paul Heaton and solo projects Rubberbear, Shadowparty and SeaFever with Tom being heavily involved in the production of these solo projects. He first worked with Bernard Sumner, Phil Cunningham and Stephen Morris on Bad Lieutenant leading to him taking on bass duties in New Order when they began touring in 2011. He played a key role in the creation of their 2015 album Music Complete, receiving widespread critical acclaim for it’s blend of classic New Order sounds with modern electronic influences. He also writes, produces and mixes his own material for the Universal Music library. Currently he is producing a couple of new bands in the Manchester area and is valued for his experience, expertise and connections.
